Greetings...

My name is Jess Bruckner, and I am currently a public librarian in central Wisconsin.

WisLISjobs.com is the result of my desire to learn more about web design and maintenance, and help people along the way. After I completed my MLS (or MLIS) degree at UW-Milwaukee SOIS in December 2000, I noticed there wasn't a site that tied it all together for librarians looking for jobs in Wisconsin; looking for a job proved to be a job. WisLISjobs.com was a challenging project I launched in November 2005, and it is a project I take pride in. I hope it helps save the time of the library job hunter in Wisconsin.

Biff Bookmark is an original library character. He was the result of brainstorming sessions during long car rides in an attempt to spice up WisLISjobs a bit and give it life. The Biff Bookmark artwork is the design of my friend and graphic designer, Erik Borreson.

I am a passionate next-generation (librarian and library user) advocate, and an equally passionate Milwaukee Brewers and Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) fan. If you have had an impact on my life or inspired me in some way, I'll probably ask you to sign something for a memento.
